6:00PM, 2 September 2026: The deadline (1 September) for this round of voluntary amalagmation has come. Tentatively, 160 clusters are to be formed covering 560 existing LPAs.

The dashboard will continue to be updated through next week as additional decisions are uploaded.

• On 2 September 2026, the Government announced its intention to decrease the number of LPAs on the Right Bank from 892 today to 294 following voluntary and normative amalgamation.
• On 11 August 2026, the Government announced its intention to transform Taraclia raion into a level 2 municipality centered around level 1 Taraclia in order to provide additional support to the Bulgarian minority communities.
• Chisinau Level 1 LPAs are begun to adopt amalgamation decisions, as such the decision pipeline filter has been updated to include level 1 Chisinau LPAs (excluding Mun. Chisinau itself).
• This document utilizes the local decisions register and press releases to monitor progress bottom-up; as such, this dashboard lags official "aggregate" number announcements.
